I hope in their new tour with the dream theater drummer, they still play this epic life changing interlude arpeggio solo that is the bat country into. When I saw this happen in salt lake city in feb 09, it changed my life.
-
the first half of this solo is from one of their songs off of the Diamonds in the Rough album named Girl I Know. its the solo in that song.
-
really cause herooftoday posted a video of it
-
its all arpeggios on the 15th fret in my tuning and then it variates between 14-23
-
I meant I have the tuning and tabs for tha epic slow part that turns into badass power chord riffs for bat country. but I might as well tell you now what the EXACT tuning is and with octaves. it is:
B4,F#4,D4,B3,F#3,B2. In standard the tab is almost the same note-wise, but octaves are a lil higher. email me, ill hook you up
-
I figured it out in BFDBFB tuning, email me and I'll send you the octaves and the tabs.
-
Lol dude it's been so long there's no way I'd remember. Which part were you having trouble with?
-
do you think you could tab it out an send it to me? lol, ive been trying to figure it out but im not that good at by ear
-
lol i was the bamf mother fucker haha jk, um... the tall skinny white kid, blond hair... wearing the a7x shirt... um idk how else to describe me... oh the one who got hit by a falling crowd surfer.. 140 lbs straight to the fucking neck ahaha
-
haha amen to that. when i saw them in e-ville shinedown and a7x rocked. saving abel was ok but i left when buckcherry got on stage... as did almost everyone else.
his comfort area is up the neck, hav u realised that in most his songs he plays up the neck?

Well most solo playing is done up on the neck. The frets are closer together and the bents are much easier up there, making all the fast runs and sweeps much easier.
