  • Does anyone know when this montage was made?

I loved Zach and I still love him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • One interesting note. Shock Theater in Philly started at 11:30PM on Monday & Tuesday nights. There were so many school kids sneaking downstairs to watch, and winding up late for school in the morninghannel 10 (WCAU) ngot so many complaints that they changed him to Friday & Saturday night. He was also a regular visitior on Bandstand then, as well as making many personal appearances. Anybody remember him doing an appearance on the roof of the old Pennsauken Mart back in '58?

  • Remember Thelma the amoeba, a pulsating mold of jell-o. And Igor who had a taste for mailmen. I always wondered what those spider hoagies tasted like. Hard to picture, but supposedly the Shock Theater set was rolled out onto the WCAU floor

during commercials following John Facenda's newscast. Ah memories.

  • @mbutchin ~ I meant to say he was funny in those shows back in the 50s. Don't worry ~ he's a ghoul and will live on long after you & I are gone

    :)

  • @1400deadwood Um-- He's not dead yet, you know.

  • We always watched him as kids, got very sad when he went to N.Y.His greatest days were in Philly!

  • Zach was truly a very, very funny man!
