  • it's a little fast for my taste too. I think we were both a bit anxious but we managed to pull it off. Glad you enjoyed it though!

  • Did you use any recordings while working on this piece?

  • I listened to one recording before I learned it. I prefer not to use recordings when learning pieces. It's been a few years since I was first learning this so when I go back and listen to someone else's recording I find it much different. If you want to get a sense of the piece, I would recommend Chris Gekker and the composer playing on the CD "Music for the Soloists of the American Brass Quintet and Friends by Eric Ewazen".
