The lighter the tackle the better. This river is knowen for it's rapid's. 6lbs test, 7'0 light action rod is common on this river. Also 7'-10' Fly Rod w/ 8lbs main & 8' 6lbs tippet. This river also produces 5 Sea running fish, for great year around fishing.
