Creating planets using actual photographs from NASA as object textures. This also includes a trick for creating a virtual planet surface.

  • I'm glad that you took the time to toss in that last trick. That was a really neat idea!

  • if you go into your Materials Lab, Bottom Left corner: Select "Complex FX" category, you will find a Material called "Weather Map" That should look pretty nice around your "Earth" Planet.

  • if Picture does not Import, Open the picture in PhotoShop & Make sure it's RGB. if not, convert to RGB, Save & try to import.

  • pal, could u please send me the earth, jupiter image and others planet image that u have? I've search it everywhere but I didn't found anything :(
