As someone from Australia I have to say that I love your Black Beauties. It's great that you make them so 'Indian' with all the fantastically intricate decorations. Good on you! Let's celebrate diversity before globalization finally closes in on us all!
I lived in Rajasthan during the last days of the YP class. Ek dum tej! Had many a great trip on the footplate. Crews were always very smartly dressed out and were often v hospitable with their offers of tea & tiffin!

@ricksclick Actually, they're ornaments, flags and balloons made by true artists, true craftsmanship and creativity. I think they look really cool. While grafitti is generally not viewed nicely, it actually has it's skills, even if I don't like it, I respect it. You should be more open minded to what other cultures have to express and try to put yourself in the shoes of others...

@SBC1344 Your are right, I should not have called it junk. It is more like graffiti - and my culture dislikes graffiti.
-
@ricksclick It's not junk, it's their culture, you should respect that.

@manso006 These were Baldwin USA designs as I have read. Several were built in India on license.
Im my younger years, I have trained in trains hauled by these Great Black beauties to Calcutta from Hyderabad. It is nice to go back in memories, when things are pleasant.
