How to apply RockTape kinesiology tape (from http://www.theratape.com) for a hamstring injury. RockTape is a new type of kinesiology tape engineered to enhance athletic performance in addition to providing therapeutic benefits. When applied following PowerTaping principles, it can reduce fatigue, improve endurance and enhance muscle activation. RockTape has a stronger adhesive than other kinesiology tapes, making it ideal for swimmers, triathletes, marathoners, etc. Buy RockTape at http://www.theratape.com/rocktape

  • If your main goal is pain relief, you put the injured muscles into a position of maximal stretch, but use only "tape off" tension when applying the tape. If your goal is to reduce swelling and/or bruising, you would also put some additional stretch in the tape.
