Johnson was il before the olympic games 92. he recovered but not coompletly to comete in high level..wel actualy because of that story he run 19.3s 4 years later

When I started watching track and field on tv in 1992, I admire Mike Marsh, and still did throughout his career. He just wasn't as consistent as Michael Johnson. Marsh is the most understated Olympic champion as a sprinter, track has probably ever seen. It was a good race here although I think Marsh sort of sandbagged in the last 30 meters and let Johnson through.
