  • @ayokay123 Would you be surprised to learn that Hannes was a "late" child prodigy? He started playing at fourteen (14!!), same age as Sviatoslav Richter, and went on to achieve Richter's level of virtuosity also in classics! You can hear him playing classical finger busters on his website. WHY this guy never made it to international recognition and fame will always remain a mystery to me. By way of contrats and anecdote, Lady Gaga's secret of wealth and fame lies bare, LOL.

  • @12rosebud12 Dude, I could NOT agree with you more regarding Hannes. The guy was/is such an incredibly talented individual that it's a tragedy that more folks aren't familiar with his abilities. If he ever manages to tour the US, I'd be honored to go see him. I've listened to his Hummelflug about 200 times already, and am astounded each and every time I hear it. He is every bit as good at Finna's version as Kissin is at Rimsky-Korsikov's....and I bet he'd be damned good at that one too!

  • very good he is a GOD !!

  • The piano sounds great, but I think it's got more to do with who's playing it!

    Brilliant!

  • SUCH a pity Hannes, one of the greatest players of 'em all, had no right management to take care of him and sell his genius accordingly to the big audiences and has remained a hidden light under a bushel. With the right management he would have been, and DESERVINGLY too, the showbiz #1 performer in his heydays along with e.g. Axel " Haircut?What's-a-Haircut Caveman" Zwingenberger, the virtuoso but sterile robot-like player I can't stand for the life of me but who got best media and coverage.

  • Best version I've heard!

  • Awesome playing there, a really driving tune :)
