This video is a featured VTR Report Program with Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK), the Japanese version of the Discovery Channel.

This state-of-the-art technology was implemented for recycling of end of life vehicles. It has operated commercially for over 20 years and recovery rate in excess of 95%.

The plant features an alloy aluminum and scorch iron recovery system that completely recycles entire used engine blocks. The facility is integrated with a scrap tire gasification system for energy production that has a processing capacity of 10 tonnes per hour which equals approximately 18 mid-size car engines and 800 waste tires. On a daily basis this plant processes and recycles approximately 430 scrap car engines and 19, 200 scrap tires.

The facility is own and operated by Toyotomi-Sangyo Inc.
