  • I love big parties, once had a group of 33 , they have seat reservation and they want individual receipts, no pre-set orders. Taking their orders was the most tasking, number and name for each, 86 this and extra that, temperature for meat entrees, drinks first before and after meal and remind them for desserts, The easiest part was serving food, I told them that food will be brought not at the same time because our staff have only two hands each and we'll do our best to make 'em happy.

  • This is what I do- also works for drunken assholes shouting out their orders out of turn.

  • good job!!!!! anyways,,,,,i just wonder was the thing is hangin on ur neck

  • Where i work theres a party of 82 people coming in, shit just got real.

  • :]

  • @eugene680 yeah lol. well, the thing is, though, at the restaurant I work at, it's really small, so a party of 6 or 8 would be consider one of the bigger parties :x

  • You mean people intentionally arrive with a large party without a reservation on a slammed night and ask for a table then complain they have to wait a while? Amazing how many snobs are out there.

  • @eugene680 wow.... THIS is EXACTLY what happens at the restaurant I work at. To make it even more annoying, they keep asking every 10-15 minutes about whether it's their turn, how much longer, whether I know they've been ___ minutes? sighhh... working in restaurants suck, but the tips make it worth it (:

  • Unfortunately where I work always has groups of old people. They forget what they order =.= and they come in groups of upto 23 but luckily we have electronic handhelds with seat numbers on it so you can remember for them xD

  • What I don't like is this: A party of 10 knows full well a restaurant will be packed that night and didn't make a reservation. When they ask for a table to seat that many, they complain they have to wait for an hour. So they give the restaurant a bad review for terrible service. Does that make sense?

  • Thanks for the advice Leslie. All the best in 2011!

  • i hate it when asshole customers all keep taking amongst themselves when its time to order, happens with big tables
