ITER - Fusione nucleare

Roma -- Gli scienziati che lavorano alla fusione nucleare stanno facendo passi da gigante e si pongono un ambizioso traguardo: dimostrare entro il 2026 che i processi energetici del sole e delle stelle potranno essere utilizzati sulla terra per compensare la crescente domanda di energia elettrica.

Le tappe per raggiungerlo, ci vengono illustrati dal professor Francesco Romanelli, direttore dell'European Fusion Development Agreement (EFDA), il programma che coordina i laboratori europei impegnati in studi teorici e sperimentali sulla fusione nucleare. Romanelli, dirige la maggiore macchina per esperimenti sulla fusione, collocata a Culham, in Inghilterra.

In the magnetic trap of the tokamak it produce only magnetic field which it maintain in the round of the coil, without to fulfil the role of magnetic trap. The conditions of thermonuclear controlled fusion: temperature, concentration, confinemant and duration - can not obtained never in a tokamak installation, because the her incapacity of the magnetic trap, which can not dress and surround whole the thermonuclear plasma. The plasma can not be restrained, can not be maintained and thus can not be heating. Till now 2011 it confined not the plasma on the tokamak instalations.
