Here is the first part of my complete "Another Code R" playthrough. This covers the introduction to the game up to the beginning of chapter 1.

This game was released in Europe at the end of June 2009, and I'm playing a copy imported from the UK on my US Wii. The import will load fine on an unmodified system using Gecko OS launched via BannerBomb if you set the option to force the region. Launching it that way is the only option if you don't wish to void your warranty. You can also install the homebrew channel and launch GeckoOS from there, but Nintendo now considers Wii's with the homebrew channel installed as modified. I am launching the game via a patched system menu capable of loading imports directly. For more information on how to load imports on your system, use your favorite search engine.

The game has not been announced for a release in North America.

  • is this game going to come to america soon.

  • No US release has been announced.

Considering the fact that it's out in Europe in English, there's really nothing they'd need to do other than fix up some of the dialogue to bring it to the US. With that in mind, the chance of a US release doesn't seem very good.

On the positive side, it costs less than $50 to import the UK version.

  • @Sappharad Actually, I believe it's due to the fact that the company with rights to the game, cing, went under. We also lost hotel dusk 2 for it.

  • @PrometheusSY I don't think that has anything to do with it. Last Window came out in Europe several months after Cing went under. (And I had to import that as well. Works fine on US systems, since it's region free.)

  • Guys, If you REALLY want to help get money to Cing, then don't buy 'new' from E-Bay. Why? Because the person you are buying from has already purchased the game, and your money is going to the seller, not Cing. Buy it online from an import store online (NCSX or PlayAsia). Then you can be sure that Cing is getting some money from your purchase (if they haven't completely shut down).

  • so wait..... if i bought this game off of ebay or something and sent it to the states, it wont work on the wii unless if i download something first??

  • whoohoo found it! also interesting might import the game from the UK then

  • Holw cow, dude, slow down on the text.

  • Dude, I didn't know Trace Memory got a sequel. That game was wicked cool.

  • I dont really like wii game but if it has something to to with trace memory im in. Through they wont make it in america sadlyand on march 1st theere going bankrupd :O

  • O my gosh...thanks SO much for making a playthrough on this!!

  • afaik, "Trace Memory" didn't sell very well in the states, so this game won't be coming out in the states. Your options of playing are buying an EU Wii and Another Code, or modifying your Wii to use region free, seeing as Nintendo got rid of what made Region Free Disks work.
