  • The River Bollin runs East to West from the Cheshire /Derbyshire border before joining the R. Mersey. It runs through mainly sandy soils, well mostly just sand! Hence the perpetual shaping of its course.

This area is North Cheshire, not far South of Manchester in North West England.

This river is a source of so many memories and adventures for me, from childhood to my now 57th year.

  • Very nice videos on your channel. What you are calling a "river cliff" in your discussion of the Bollin, is called a "cutbank" in America. I teach geography at some small colleges in Los Angeles.

Please upload more video. Very nice indeed. What about a walking tour of the Bollin? Where in Britain is the Bollin?
