A very smooth jazz from the great artist "Nat King Cole".
From Nat's album 'When The World Was Young'.

  • It's the words I love and how he sang them. I heard this song for the first time this week on Sirus/XM radio, Sinatras station. I was driving through the Smokie Mts with the fall leaves falling. What a fantastic drive. The artist of today could not make me feel as good as ole Nat. I thanked GOD he blessed us with the beautiful artists of the 50's.

  • @Choefoe i agree. . they are eminently and endlessly perfect vehicles for individual interpretation..if i could only sing and play gershwin, duke, van heusen songs on my lounge lizard gig i d be a happy ...lizard....half assed versions of elton john and beatles are a such a drag

  • @markmarktarmann Sinatra covered a lot of songs written for Fred Astaire. They all do it their own way but tunes like this never get old. It,s just because off the composers from that era like the Gershwins and Cole, Porter ,Jerome Kern, their songs keep being covered/re-recorded

  • @AramTaranyan have to agree. nat sings it great, but the arrangement here is a bit convoluted. but it's one of those songs where sinatra's big deep warm open voice (oh to have those pipes) and ballsy direct phrasing works ( the overused youtubeterm now is "swag"- ger) . it s one of those tunes that he just he owns, and was born to sing.

  • Sinatra performs this better as for me)) Great song, however!

  • @Brando0307

And let us not neglect George Shearing's perfect piano work on this. They were a great team...

  • Crazy how smooth and talented this man was. Amazing talent!

  • OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SONG FOR TWENTY YEARS. THANK YOU. I LEARN HOW TO PLAY THE SAXOPHONE OFF THIS SONG IN THE FOURTH GRADE.
