In brief detail, this film shows the story of Sahaja Yoga, and its founder Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi. She discovered and developed a way to bring self-realisation en masse, with the aim of awakening our spiritual selves in a safe, natural and spontaneous (Sahaja) way, that can be physically experienced and verified. Sahaja Yoga consists of meditation rather than exercises, of introspection, and of opening and cleansing the chakras, thus creating internal tranquility and equilibrium. From the fight for India's independence and Shri Mataji's stays with Gandhi, to bringing her message to different countries especially modern-day Britain, the film offers a glimpse of her belief that only by having peace within can we achieve peace in the world.

I am a seeker and have attended Sahaja Yoga meetings. Whilst I am not quite inside SY, neither am I outside, I continue to watch and learn, listen and 'feel'. This film I would recommend to anyone who is enquiring, wishing to know more. It answers many of the questions I had. Who is Shri Mateji and how did it all begin? What is this kundalini? Can anyone get it? This is an excellent way to find out more.
