I remember the show when I was a kid. It is very sad that those days are gone forever. I feel very nostalgic when seeing the video clip. I can remember watching it in color.

This would've been a kinescope of sorts, possible prepared for a station that played the show at a different time or as a back-up copy of sorts, that's all i can say, as there is advertisement breaks during it.

He and his son Robert were killed along with 34 others on Wednesday, March 13, 1974 at 8:28 p.m. in the crash of a chartered Sierra Airlines Convair CV-440 aircraft near Bishop, California while filming the ABC/Wolper Productions television series Primal Man. The plane flew into a mountain ridge in darkness, but the exact cause of the crash was never determined.

"The Bear" was portrayed by Janos Prohaska, who perished in an on-set accident while filming a TV program that had something to do with caveman, if I remember correctly. And yes, that is indeed "The Unknown Comic" Murray Langston without his paper bag.

They came over from the Hudsons' prime time summer replacement show from 1974. All but the girl were from Sonny & Cher (she replaced Teri Garr on the roster; Teri was making "Young Frankenstein" with Mel Brooks by that time).
