How to Euthanize a Fish

Sometimes when a fish is extremely ill or injured, it is the most humane option to euthanize them to relieve them from pain and stress. I hope this video can help any of you whom are having severe medical issues with your fish and I'm sorry for any of your losses. I just put my fish, Jude, to sleep and believe me, if there was anything else I could've done for him, I certainly would've.

I've brought many fish back from the late stages of Ich, fin rot, and even advanced dropsy, but for some reason, Jude was unreceptive to treatments.

Remember that boiling or freezing a fish is an incredibly cruel way to euthanize them. Flushing a live fish will only result in them dying in a sewer. Clove Oil and Finquel are the only humane options.
