This is a video I made from some video I took and some photos I had from when I was stationed there in 1994 with the USACAP MP Unit. I also, included photos from some military buddy's and current photos of the island after everything was torn down on Johnston Island. Johnston Island is a low sand and coral island, 717 miles West-South-West of Honolulu. It is roughly a mile and a half long by a half mile wide.
Johnston Island is part of the Pacific Remote Islands Marine National Monument, proclaimed by U.S. President George W. Bush on January 6, 2009.
Thanks!! Miss it so much. Some of the greatest years of my life.

I just wished I would have stayed sober during my years tour of duty there. I would have enjoyed it much more. Our group pretty much stayed smashed the entire year.

If you had to do a short tour, this was the place to do it.
