can ripbot264 work with blu-ray/ m2ts files?
masteriddler 1 year ago
@masteriddler I know that it works with blu ray videos, but I am not sure if it can do the sound in HD. You will have to look into that. I don't know the specifics but I remember coming across something where you needed to use another program in order to get the sound in HD. Sorry I couldn't help you out anymore but I don't own any blu-rays or have a blu-ray burner.

Why did u choose mkv and not mp4?
Defenderboy67 1 year ago
@Defenderboy67 Okay sorry for the long awaited response...I forget I even have videos lol. I use mkv because overall it is a better container, even though mp4 is more supported in more devices. The biggest advantage it has is that it can support pretty much any codec that's out there. There are a lot of other reasons, but I'll just attach this link in the description that came up on top of a Google search for why mkv's are better than mp4's.

Hello, Do you have a Quad Core PC?? I am using RipBot264 to create reduced file Blu-Ray rips. First I use DVD Platinum to rip the Blu-Ray .M2TS file to Hard Drive. Second I run RipBot264. It works great for a full movie shrinking my M2TS from 30-35GB to only 3-4GB. The problem I have is the ETA or time it takes to make a file which is usually 72 Hours!! I have a dual core not a quad. Thanks!

@phetit1017 Yes, I have a Core i7 920 OC to 3.8GHz. In short the videos that I upload take me about 15-30 minutes to render, so with that I would assume that rendering a 1080p movie would take between a couple hours to a few hours at most, give or take an hour or so, but the output file would be around 8 gigs or so. Really can't tell you because I haven't done it before, just an estimation.
Anyways I sent you a more in depth message. So check that out.
