  • Charlies: Yes, when you see a hurricane out at sea approaching, it looks like a massive storm; clouds from periphery to periphery. In certain ways, I think you can loosely compare tornados and hurricanes. However, the reason a hurricane has so much more volume is because of all the available fuel in the ocean (warm water).
