If there is a better all around magician," master mentalist Joseph Dunninger wrote of his lifelong friend Al Flosso, "I have yet to discover him." Combining subtle, sophisticated manipulations with his bold, gritty persona, Flosso's magic became legendary. Though he stood only 5' 2", Flosso was a giant of the magic world.

  • I hung out in Al's shop every Saturday. He was more sympathetic about kids starting in Magic than Lou was. Al referred to me as that "skinny kid from Brooklyn"

I met Joe Dunninger, Carl Ballantine and a cast of many other famous personalities there when I was only 13.

I was in the midst of the greatest giants in Magic back in New York City in the 60's and didn't even know it.

Now they are all just memories.

Stand up straight boy, stand up straight.

  • a very creepy act, I think Al grabbed the kids crotch during this act.

  • Aw.. SOME!! I never seen a magic show like this!!! This is a wonderful show!!

I wish he was alive today :D

    Sniff.. Awesome act though!!!

  • @143AC: Not fair to say P&T have "no talent."

  • I remember visiting Al's store on 34th St when it was still near 8th Ave. I had the honor of meeting Al and hearing him rant about different customer's after they would leave the shop. He was hysterical! I own his 'magic wand'. Also have one of his business cards.

  • What KIND of coins are they? If you bought them, were they expensive? Did you get the pail, too or any of his other props?

  • How did you get them?

  • Al Floss..a great comedic illustionist..better than
