  • As to my comment above: I kid, of course, very affectionately. I am a huge fan of Christopher Kent and have learned more about antiques and collectibles from watching his Flea Market Mania show than I would have reading dozens of books on collecting. He is indeed more of a priceless treasure than the sum of everything he's ever appraised!

  • You did very well with this piece. Now, I'm going to put you on the spot! What do you know about it? Well, it *may* be Miessen, but more likely it was made by Noritake after World War II when they started producing carnival glass tin toys. Still, as an investment? Excellent. Splendid! Now: Bottom Line: I'm going to put it in the $850 to $1,250 range - with the caveat that in auction, it could see more, depending on how the winds blows that day.
