Made with FL Studio and custom-ripped Mega Man X samples.

I had to make this, since I haven't made one for a while and I love the X series. I'm still trying to capture the X feel...how does this one sound? Too much like Classic Mega Man? Is it spot on? I welcome any and all critiques. If you have suggestions for a better maverick name, shoot away as well.

Check out BaiiIs8bit's marvelous 8-bit rendition of this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQPrcYwJrgg

Thanks again, Baii!

  • Do you have a MIDI of this one, too? I wanna cover it as well! This and Bramblevine Jaguar are easily my favorite of your MMX-styled songs.

  • @Sacredfire059 : Sorry, I don't have the project file to this anymore due to a hard drive crash.

  • So damn good

  • @IshidaTheQuincy : Well, I always start by writing the lead melody. You should definitely experiment a bit and find out what works for you. Some people can write better if they start off with a chord progression and lay a melody over it.

  • Tks Kevin, Capcom should hire you rigth now!!!!!

  • The intro is beast

  • @Kevvviiinnn

I might try this approach. I tend to try and make complex melodies right from the get-go, and end up getting stuck. =/

  • Yeah! That's Awesome! but, I'm making the MegaMan X3 rendition of MetalMouth Vulture, which fits the first Doppler Stage, where X and Zero have to fight against Daimon Cenicienta as a maverick.

  • @RappOverRockAMVs That's saying something too since a lot of capcom's stuff kicked assed

  • Question: When you composed your MMX tracks, did you restrict yourself to 8 channels? Either way, sounds great!
