Great video! I don't know about you, but I was really taken aback by how close to our side they came! I quickly moved my hand back in because I was scared of knocking them off their bikes or something! lol

Yes. I have watched and been involved in cycle racing for a long time but nothing prepared me for the shock of the peleton's sudden arrival at what seemed like inches from my nose as they cut a close racing line on the inside of the curve at I would guess around 60 km/h. I too am not ashamed to admit that I instinctively jumped back.
