This song has helped me get through a difficult break up with my ex. We were together for 4 years, had a child then split up, trying to make things work. 2 weeks after splitting up he moved his new girl friend and her son in with him, one of my old friends who's shoulder I cried on. That is the time I first heard this song, and I realized I didn't need him and my daughter and I have grown and become stronger. We now have a great guy in our lives. This song is just amazing. I gave 4 1/2 years, then we split up and apart for 6 months. I finally fixed my heart and met someone wonderful. When the ex caught wind, he came back a changed man, wanted to marry me... So i left my new beau and went back. It was same ol' same ol' for another year. So now 5 1/5 years of my life is gone and by the grace of God, my 'friend' is by my side again. Our hearts are strong, we do get better and can move on. :)

Hillary Scott of Lady A co-wrote this song and she does it in their live concert. It's an awesome song. Touches my heart in so many way. My anthem after heartbreak in a relationship after 4 yrs. It's been a yr and a half and it still hurts today.. but everyday is a little better.. Some days I don't know if I will ever recover, other day I don't even think about him. But it's hard and listening to this song helps me keep moving forward.
