Someone please point me to a description of the literal event being described. I've seen Andrew Cohen, and acolytes refer to some specific event of connecting to a group and touching some kind of higher collective consciousness, but I can't seem to find any explanation of what is physically occurring to bring that experience forward.

Big Mind would be a better term. I am really big mind, not the ego, you are relly big mind, not the ego. Big mind in which all things arise.

evolution, does not necessarily move towards Vertical expansion.

If you count the increase in complexity, then consciousness evolution WILL tetra-arise (as in the 4 quadrants of I, WE, It, Its) vertically, but at the level of it, or physical world, complexity arises, but the amount of units goes smaller, just as there are more atoms in the universe than there are molecules. From atoms to molecules - evolution, from tribes to nations to industries to informational civilzation, it takes and creates consciousness evolution in a vertical way, doesn't it?

Successful evolution does complexify and cause the vertical development of the first-person. The evolution of the things that are iin the vicinitude of the channel with which the consciousness arises. For example, the brains complexity is the main source of vertical development in humans, if not the whole body-mind.

Superb description... once experienced, one only wants more of this kind of intimacy and commumication with others... the world as we knew it before is changed. We meet in a kind of purity and integrity that is surly the next step in human interaction.
