@sheebah95 She did, the pen she put into the solution has the long pastic covered tubes in it, the one she showed on the camera is from the pen that that she took apart, not the pen that she's doing the refill.
After pulling out one of the tips, I'd use a syringe with a needle to suck up a measured amt of the solution, say 1.5 ml, stick the needle into the felt tube and inject the liquid into it.

when the tips get bad I trim them with scissors. To make a pointed tip.

I'm sure you need to put that long plastic covered tube in the solution, not the tips or the pen.
