One of the race laps at Le Mans Classic 2008 for this winning car. Grid 3. Car:: Saab 93 B built as Le Mans 1959 edition. Two stroke 3 cylinder 750 cc, Top speed 177,5 km/h.
Motor prepared and tuned by XP Engineering solutions, Sweden. The car prepared exactly the same way as in 1959
In this night lap the Saab is beating a AC ace bristol, also a OSCA MT4 is passed for a while.

@pencilneck22 In the States there is a cult following for these cars.I've had(and still do)quite a few V-4s.Only driven a couple of 2-strokes

@twowheelflyercr, oh yeah, I'd forgotten that those little buggers had free-wheel. Considering that, driving one fast, smoothly, has got to be a real challenge. Great little car still. Around here you still see them being driven on the streets and if you go to the Scandinavian part of town, they are all over the place.

@pencilneck22 What I figured out is they are running the car in free-wheel.It kind of sounds funny midcorner,on and off the throttle.

Shifting is sloppy.I've desroyed 3 Saab ring and pinions abusing them.Learned to drive these things very gently and smoothly.

A speed of 111 mph would require 137 horsepower. Put that in your two-stroke and smoke it!
