I agree that in this video she's not really good, but nowadays, Kalinka has a wonderful voice, with a fantastic technique. After the date of the video, she had 4 more year having classes with Neyde Thomas, the greatest Brazilian soprano and teacher. Try to find something more recent and watch it. I'm sure you won't be disapointed. =)

good musicians, bad singer. her voice is too dramatic for this kind of music.

I prefer the instrumental one

I do not understand about technicism, and I really do appreciate this version. It seems to me that she forces it a bit, but in general : Gorgeous!!!

This is ghastly.

I really must say I hate this. It's kitsch and she doesn't control her voice well. Too thin in the high registers. Nope! Not for me.

Her technique is flawed, she controls the tone with her mouth, pulling her out of the flow of the breath. A very basic mistake for a professional to make. E strano! Nice concept though, but would take a much better singer to really pull it off. Her legato is not well controlled due to her "playing" with the tone in her jaw. Easy to fix!
