I think she's not ashamed of Gilligan's she just wants her life to mean more than a three hour tour. To the children she tutors, I'll bet it does.

Everyone has gone under the knife many, more than once. Even males- everyone - even non celebrities I'm convinced I'm one of the few people left in this country that hasn't gone under the knife.

How did Ginger get off the island? In the 1st reunion movie, a tsunami washed the Castaways' hut-boat into the shipping lanes where Gilligan's fire caught the eye of a Coast Guard helicopter. During a reunion cruise on the Minnow 2, they get shipwrecked again. In the 2nd reunion movie, the US Navy spotted the Castaways attempting to fly a WW2 bomber. They are finally rescued for good. They stay on the island though to run the Howell's resort.
