Does that BMW sticker make the maintenance costs triple on the bike?

@halfthrottle That sticker has been a source of internal debate since I got the bike...The previous owner placed it on there...I know its meant as a GS jab, and had I the money, I would've gone that way...But the more I make the bike my own, the more I have been indoctrinated into the KLR clan. So it's kinda fun to make fun of those folks..

Hey Billy, first thing is us dollar is worth95 cents in Canada.fuel is sold by the liter highest so far was $1.75. Road from Dawson creek to liard hot springs was great except for a few ruff patches and animals from dogs to bison on the road. Bring your own booze as it cost a lot up here and is few and far between. If you have any questions I can help you with let me know and I will do my best to get the info for you guys. Trip of a lifetime so far. I will keep you posted.

@BlackMesaSecurity Once in AK, we can purchase "Bear Spray" it's basically long range mace...I wanted to carry a 9mm on the trip, but Canada won't let us bring handguns in ..

I did a Alaska trip about 10 years on my 92 bmw gspd, I think the most dangerous thing I incountered was old people driving huge motorhomes riding my ass on the gravel roads.

Billy I talked with riders who just did the Dalton hyway they said the first section to cold foot was poor, and good after that. I'm heading south in the morning it's been great for me hope everything goes well for you

Hey Billy there is one thing your still missing......A Jolly Roger!! You should have gotten some of the Roger with the pistons made up and up them on the front number plate/fairing. I know your planning on wearing that off road helmet with 808's picture on the back (LOL), but the Roger on there is pretty small. I'm not so sure that it meets true BWOM requirements. ;) Good luck to you and Tracy on the trip, can't wait to see footage. BTW what ever happened to the video pre-sale thing?
