In response to TON's fourth TV challenge. Played on my Hind Alto C.
I watched this movie at the beginning of January and immediately wanted to learn this song. Then someone told me it was TON's TV challenge. I practiced this song for quite literally a month ;) There are still a few mistakes but not too bad. This is my first video on my new ocarina also. Keep in mind my microphones sound quality does not do justice to the actual tone of the ocarina.

Take #2 of the day. Played with backtrack coming through my speakers. Some may call it "Live"

Backtrack and Sheet music can be found on The Ocarina Network, courtesy of Kissing.

I used your video a lot as practice for timing and its what really inspired me to play this version. And someone on TON said post videos in response to the one that inspired you so i hope you don't mind having a response ;)

  • Your note transitions could be a bit smoother, and a bit of vibratto would have made it sound nicer on the longer notes. Practice your tonguing as well.

Other than that, great job! I love this song, and you did a wonderful job.

  • Your welcome! Wish you all the best, I hope I sound closer to that in a year or so. Right now the only thing slowing down my practice at home is the times I can practice (GRIN)

Hope to see more posts from you!

    Dave

  • Guy you looked mad when you were turning off the camera! xD haha Good work never the less :)
