PSP Tutorial - How to install a Custom Firmware on the PSP (1st Step Identifying your motherboard)

*READ HERE FIRST!!*

Only those with a lower firmware than 5.03 may proceed!

First Download the -CFW KIT BY 0xTidusx0- : http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?k1zmnhztocm

This is the Step 1, Identifying your MotherBoard.

Open the Official Firmware 5.03 folder and copy the EBOOT.PHP to the UPDATE
folder inside the GAME folder and run it. (Without this Firmware don't proceed any further)

After you installed the 5.03 Firmware in your PSP:

Connect your PSP to your PC.

open the chickHEN folder and copy the ''h'' file to the Root of your Memory Stick.

Phat PSP: Open the PHAT folder inside the ChickenHEN folder and copy the Eggsploit to the
PICTURE folder in the root of your memory stick.

Slim PSP: Open the SLIM folder inside the ChickenHEN folder and copy the chickHen Folder to
your PICTURE folder in the root of your memory stick

If you followed those steps correctly, the Tiff file will appear in the PHOTO at your PSP
now keep trying till you get a GreenScreen, and a reboot.
After that, check your system Information, if it shows up ChickHEN you have succesfully
installed ChickHEN at your PSP.

Now connect your PSP to the PC and copy the folder CFWEnabler to your GAME folder.
now go to your PSP and run the program. When it loads, it'll ask you to Flash and Start
(yes This CAN brick your PSP, so it's up to you) select this option and wait for the
operation to end. If everything goes right you have succesfully Emulated an PSP Custom
Firmware.

Now Open the PSPident folder and read the README inside it. after you read, copy the
PSPident folder to your GAME folder and run it, check your MotherBoard version.
if your PSP doesn't have the required version to Install a custom firmware, don't proceed
further, and keep your PSP with the CFWEnabler.

IF it has, Go to 2nd Step folder.

I did everything you said to do in the video, my system says I have 5.03 chickHEN R2 and I found my motherboard, it's TA-082 and my version is 3.0. I remember at the end of this video saying if you have anything higher than v.2 don't go to step 2, stick with CFWEnabler... does that mean I delete PSPident out of my folders? or do I just keep it there? because when I put .cso games in my ISO folder nothing shows up to play on my psp :/ got any ideas?

@wtfnicolew yh, you can delete PSPident. your PSP is now Half-Cfwed. but you have to put on The root of your mem stick.
