most of the coins in my collection are from canada
because of your videos I got an urge to go trough the old jar of money my grandfather gave me 10 years ago..
oldest coin I've found yet is a norwegian 1 krone from 1875, and most valuable is a norwegain 5 øre (cent) from 1878 valued at about 450$
other cool coins is a french franc from 1943 witch is so light it floats on water(!), canadian 5 cent from 1912, german 5 pennig from 1940 with swastika on it, and 1 cent american from 1935... also found 2x1000 german mark bills from 1922

I never really got into paper money, although I do have a few older U.S. bills. The way I see it is that lets say the dollar went down in value, if you have a silver or gold coin, it will be worth more than current dollar value anyways, so it won't really hurt its value, as paper is simply that, paper. I love collecting those Canadian poppy quarters, I don't come across them often however :o(
