  • We need humor like this on TV again.

  • The documentary is on hiatus for now...

He's currently working on a DVD release compilation of his most famous spots, his short film, Openminds (appeared at Sundance in 2003), and a documentary about him called Point of View... They're hunting for a distributor right now...

  • The Independent Life commercial cracks me up!!! LOL!!! Too funny!!!

  • Joe Sedelmaier is the 'Cohen brothers' of advertising.

  • My God. So good. As a copywriter looking for a director, I can only say how I wish talent like this still existed. So many people trying to one-up each other with visual effects and the latest green-sky European color palate.

    Humanity. Humor. Humility. Tubas.

Thank you for posting these, Jerry.

  • : )

  • The DVD release I mentioned earlier is coming around...

Point of View just premiered in LA a few weeks ago, and will be screened at the 39th USA Film Festival in Dallas along with Joe's short films at the end of the month.

Hopefully a distributor will take interest!

  • Dont forget the goofy music in the background, like the trucker music in the wendy's truck driver commercial

  • The Walter Harris Independent Life commercial is a complete riot. It is the odd details that really stand out in Sedelmaier's commercials. For example the people about to sneak into frame during the Fibreglas Pink commercials or low-angle camera shots pointed toward the clients in the commercials about bad-client service.

  • Genius. What happened to Joe? I heard he was making a documentary of his hometown in Ohio. Great, great stuff.
