If I recall you can use WX alert without cutting out (In my dreams of course). Wonder if you use "A" as Radio Station listening, and set Wx on "B" (Or reversed) If that eliminates the problem while still monitoring alerts? Be sure to have the right Wx Freq in too. It has 10 of them I think.

Also couldnt hurt if he put the radio on the correct frequency 107.500 MHZ.... not 107.445
