@1414animelover: It was also because the story didn't seem to make much sense. In the 1st season, it was pretty straightforward. You had this team go to each country and eventually make their way to the championships. In the 2nd season, the plot was basically this: everybody wants their Bit-Beasts. Why those people didn't try stealing the other teams' Bit-Beasts was never explained and Tyson/Takao also had to relearn all the lessons he was taught in the 1st season all over again.
