Yeah mate, that was pure heartbreak. Lost fish (a monster to) and snapped rod (a $400 one no less) :-(

Good question... I wondered if someone would spot that. The spool is top-shotted. It has 150 metres of 15lb orange braid on top and 150 metres of tougher yellow braid underneath. Thats how I knew the fish had taken 150 metres of line.
