Betty Tureaud's installation "Nine Steps to Heaven" is a brilliant re-reading of "2001 A Space Odyssey" and is by the way a tribute to Arthur C. Clarke.

I could not help to wear my space outfit and... to dive in this Space Odyssey, like Dave Bowman did some times ago.
Come with me ?

Betty Tureaud is a famous and talented Virtual artist in Second Life® and in "real life" as well.
Ultraviolet Alter has composed incredibly well fitting original music and sounds.

Filmed in Second Life® at Danish Vision (October 2010).

  • Amazing dreamscape. I too, felt the urge to reach for the Kubrick. I also wondered if perhaps it's time for me to lean up on Ingmar Bergman.

    Highly evocative work. Bravo!!

  • SL Awesomeness!

  • Excellent work, Iono. I had to revisit the original film to compare, lol. Visuals are excellent, enjoyed the varied pacing - just enough to keep us intrigued. Play off and repetition of chair was nice way to keep the work unified. Loved the varied sounds as well. Good take on Dave as he ages. Very cool capture of a beautiful installation. What a team.

  • I love the way Ionos interpret other people's art installation,

so it is both entertaining and true to the artist.

    thanks for that Iono. :-)

  • great filmed!!!woow!!!excellent!!!

  • OK, I put my "Wanda in Trance" on vimeo I hope I don't get banned from YouTube for this!
