  • wow. Great quality for 1980!

  • Financial crises, the housing, nutrition and climate catastrophes but ESPECIALLY the debt crisis... Oh what a Nemesis it has become.

"There is no such thing as a society" (M.H.Thatcher)

  • NOT ME IS NO DOUBT THAT IF expropriated .. ALL COMPANIES IN LATIN AMERICA BRITISH EMPIRE THAT RUSTY falls apart ... AY ME ONLY IMAGINE THAT CAN VOTE THE NATIVE Scottish REFERENDUM

  • ENGLISH THESE are a Class Act ... IRELAND RETURN OF THIEVES AND PEÑON GIBRALTAD AND FALKLAND ....

  • As an American, I definitely say that Thatcher's biggest accomplishment was sucessfully implementing monetarism to control inflation. The US was doing the same thing at the time. Here a Democrat was held of our central bank and he actually implemented the policy independent of President Reagan. The Republicans were crushed in 1982 midterms because of a deep recession caused by the tightening of the money supply. When fighting inflation, things always get worse before they get better!

  • @CuntCameron Why don't you read the "no society" interview again in order to get the context and meaning of the phrase.

  • British industry was destroyed by the union movement in the 1960s and 70s, quite deliberately. The thinking of the left at the time was that if industry and the economy collapsed, it would create the condiions for the socialist revolution they genuinely believed was imminent. All Thatcher did was turn off the life support.

  • @CuntCameron

The British industry was outdated didn't stand a chance at the world market. That is why the British government PAYED hundreds of millions of pounds to that industry just to keep it alive. Never ever ever subsidize an industry! That's like the first lesson in economics!

So she saved hundreds of millions of pounds for the government and in addition to that she transformed the economy so that it became more efficient.
