Not only will the availability of food be linked to the dollar, but I live in the midwest, and the farmers are only bringing in about 20% of their normal crops. Pretty damn scary out here.

@ytgv3fc7 Well from all I read they say over population should be fought with education. And that seems to me a reasonable statement. People have to understand IF we don't want conflicts, we can't demand more that what the planet offers, otherwise yeah, we can all be happy killing each other.

And saying they may have a 'secret plan' to kill people seems stupid. It's like saying there is a group of people doing an open source program that has a secret virus.

@skukfas the truth is hunger has nothing to do with technology and nothing to do with money. When people live where there is no food and make more babies they will be hungry. That is the sole cause of hunger. Venus Project has no solution to this. There is no such thing as abundance, especially not from technology. IF Venus Project included secret or later non-secret plans to use force to stop us from making babies by calculating food available then we'd be murdered but not starved.

@skukfas I can tell you where you are being fooled: these people don't have the materials or skill to make it happen. Everyone on Earth who has those materials & skills wants the opposite & it is their right, their savings, their education. It doesn't end war & hunger, it causes it: you can't get people like me to build Venus without slaving me against my will. You can't get my materials without killing me. And so the killing will begin if those who want Venus try hard enough.

@bigdogbuc ain't that the truth. just look at the unions now, people are seeing them for what they are and now they want to intimidate people? nice try. they should have fun fading away. and its a shame, at one time they served a purpose, but now they have way overstepped their bounds. i'd love to hear one of those public worker union people tell me how they deserve to take more of MY money to give to themselves. where do they think the govt get the money? they that stupid??

@zac030101 Our local mental health agency just spent $150K defending themselves against SEIU. An overwhelming majority of the employees voted SEIU out and the employer stopped recognition of the union. They brought 12 complaints against the MHA which were dismissed by the NLRB. Unions = Legalized Extortion. The other issue we have, like DEMCAD said, is we don't manufacture anything here anymore (lost jobs). And unfortunately, if we did, the union prices we would pay still slit our own throats.
