Hopefully some of this made sense and helped someone, I didn't really know what I should be explaining so I tried to cover most things.

  • couldn't get notes on LAST RUN (go down the neck) ? Did anyone get em?

  • @Flatted357

Some of this I just eared and did what sounded close enough. I just find, between a mix of laziness and the close enough attitude, that he plays that section fast enough that the notes kinda blend into each other and don't really matter as much lol. But there's tabs available if you want the actual run.

  • You have the Jeff Loomis schecter, an imperial metal axe, and your t-shirt is aeropostale? really?

  • @WordMetallica

lmao really? I don't go around dressed in black all day just because i like metal. I listen to what i want, wear what i want, and do what I want. I'm not going to restrict myself to a style just to be "metal" lol. when i want to wear metal shirts i do, when i want to wear fucking v necks i do lol. some people smh.

  • i cant bar using my pinky!

  • @faridzayish

Barring with the pinky is a little difficult because it's hard to roll it, you can make it sound better by giving it an extra heavy palm mute.

  • PS-- this is really a good lesson--the best one covering Arpeggios From Hell, but no one tells you the ACTUAL NOTES== not sure why, I think I will post them once I get the last section

  • @vetruok MY READ of the section is 19-15 (high E stg) 17(b)-16(g)-17(b)/ 17(d)-14(d)-17(d)-back to 14(d) then 14(a)-10(a)-14(a)-10(a)- ending on 12 low E stg/ BUT understand--this guy shows the pattern several different ways just to show the notes at times, leaving out the actual pattern used by Malmsteem-- I believe he gets it right at full speed and that is the pattern which I show here to the best I can perceive and score--hope that helps-- did anyone get the LAST RUN ??

  • cool tutorial, thanks!

    i might've missed it but @ +/- 1:30 do you bar the 14th frets on 4th & 5th strings with middle finger?
