Despite their reservations (shy lah!), I managed to get Arun Mahizhnan (Deputy Director) and Tan Tarn How () of IPS, as well as Elaine Foo (Grad student), for a quick video interview about what they do and what their dangerous idea is.
Dr Arun mentioned in this video interview that the IPS is not controlled by the Singapore government. It is impossible that IPS is not controlled by the Spore govt (and the Spore govt in turn controlled by the PAP) because Tan Tarn How recently turned down an invitation to speak by SDP Dr Chee stating he doesn't feel comfortable speaking at the forum.
Ideas from common citizens are all harmless. The only danger in these "dangerous ideas" is the danger of the originator being sued and systematically destroyed by the establishment. Government or not government controlled, this "think tank" offers no protection. The real danger and consequences are all in plain sight. How can they still expect Singaporeans to voice those ideas?
