After adding the custom tune to our 2010 GT500 and seeing a 49rwhp increase it was time to put the Lethal Performance offroad X-pipe to the test. Not only is the offroad x-pipe designed to allow the exhaust system to flow better and make more power it's going to give you that loud aggressive mustang sound you've been looking for. So after we dyno'd the custom tune on the car I drove it up to our good friend Jake Long from Power By the Hour in Boynton Beach, FL. I was greeted by my goof friends Tak, Jake and Jesse. Without any wait they threw the car on the lift and pulled the stock catted pipe off and put the Lethal Performance offroad pipe back on. It took less than 40 minutes for the entire install. The pipe fit perfect. They lowered the car back down and fired it up. Instantly I noticed that sound that I've been wanting to hear. Although the stock 2010 GT500 exhaust sounds good while cruising it's a little too tame for my taste. Not only that I know it was holding back some power and it was time to put an end to that. I drove the car back to UPR where we strapped it to the dyno and let it cool off. No change to the tune was necessary as all of the custom Lethal/Lund tunes we offer for the GT500 already have the rear o2's and COTs feature turned off. This allows the x-pipe to perform it's best. After a good cooldown we made a pull and the car put out 486rwhp and 478rwtq. That's a solid 15rwhp gain from just the swap of the pipe. As I drove the car back to our warehouse I enjoyed driving the car so much because of the new sound. I'll make sure to post some more videos from inside and outside of the car for you to get a better idea of how the car sounds with the offroad pipe with the stock mufflers.

Maybe on a dynojet but not on a Mustang Dyno. A mustang dyno is loaded and typically reads about 13% lower than a dynojet.
Hope that helps.
