VX HSV GTS with a GM Motorsport 232/234 cam, 1 & 3/4" Di Filippo extractors, custom 3" exhaust and a DUSpeed OTR.
Running at the Southside Performance Dyno Day 27/06/2009.

  • this is exactly the setup I'm looking at doing I'm buying a VX R8 , but with the cam do you need to rebuild this thing every 18 months ?

  • Nope you shouldn't need to... There have been plently of Cam Only and H&C cars getting around years after the work has been done. All depends how you drive it I guess.

  • yeah I see what you mean, so I assume this has had a mafless tune ?

    did you fuel usage go up a lot after the cam ?

    cause my car is going to be a daily driver

  • For a daily it may be safer to go for a cam in the 22x range as they still offer good power and can be more street friendly.

  • yeah I was actually looking at a 224

    later on down the track fitting a vortech v2 and hopefully getting 370+ rwkw
