ive cuabse,fl studio, reason and ableton. and its true, that every daw is better for another thing.
fl studios pianoroll rules, cubase has the best sound engine, reason has a virtual rack and the block-mode.....

@paralelSun Naw; Logic Studio has the best piano roll. Don't get me wrong, the piano roll and ease of use are the things that keep me coming back to Fl Studio even after I realized it's just not as powerful as I'd like it to be. While I realize that each DAW is different, and has different strengths and weaknesses, this is how I see it currently: logic pro & Reason>Ableton>Fl Studio>Sony Acid Pro
But I'm just one man

you can use fl studio, reason, ableton. buy hardware synths, or use vsts. all of that doesn't matter, you just need to have creativity to do something nice and willpower you can get any achievment you want in music

Deadmau5 actually said in an interview that it doesnt matter which DAW you start out with just pick the one you like and understand best
