Anchor weights add extra security to the anchor, reduce the risk of it dragging and reduce the swing of the vessel considerably. (essential when anchoring in coral waters). Heavy weights have been used for generations to change the angle of pull on the anchor, to help it dig in more securely. They act like a spring or shock absorber to reduce the swinging circle of the vessel considerably and dampen all sudden boat movement caused by waves and wakes and in jobbly anchorages. These actions are normally transmitted through to the anchor and can cause it to dislodge and the anchor to drag. There are models for rope or all chain anchoring systems and can be used on boats 9m to 18m. Proudly made in New Zealand and sold worldwide. They are made in a compound of zinc (and other metals to prevent it acting as an anode) with 316 components and come with 15m retrieval line.
