I remember visiting Detroit Michigan back in the 80's when Knoxville College came to sing at some of the schools and a Church......I had my recordable walkman and I recorded the MFA on my cassettes.......THAT WAS INCREDIBLE RAP MUSIC NOT LIKE THIS MESSY RITUAL SEX STUFF THEY PUT OUT AS BRAINWASHING PROGRAMING TODAY.....DETROIT MFA THE BEST EVER THANK YOU AND AS YOU SEE YOU ARE APART OF MY LIFE AND I WILL NEVER FORGET THE BEST MIXING AND SCRATING THAT WAS PLAYED DURNING MY VISIT SO MUCH GREATNESS

@CaddyDriva Toledo Ohio holmes. But the boys we were runnin wit back in da late 80's was from da Gardens. Spent alot of time up there. First time I saw a project with security gaurds. Gotta love the Motor City!!

MOJO BROUGHT THE FUNK AND INTRODUCED US TO NEW WAVE AND FOR SOME OF US SOME DECENT ASS ROCK MUSIC...BLACKS AND WHITES LISTENED TO AND JAMMED TO HIM EVERYNIGHT..YOU ALWAYS KNEW WHO WAS UP JAMMIN & TAPING MUSIC ON A CASSETTE FOR LISTENING LATER ON JUST IN CASE SOMEONE MISSED HIM. THOSE PEOPLE WERE ALWAYS SLEEPY THE NEXT MORNING IN CLASS. HUSKIES FOREVER!!!

I used to come home from school take a nap wake up eat, do my homework and climb out my window on a bed sheet and lay on the roof for an hour every school night at midnight until the 10th grade. That was after i ran down and cut on the porch light. I lived in the top room in our house. I went back to the house where I grew up and realized I could have died on the picket fence two stories below...thanks mojo

OMG!!! That Voice!!! What Memories!!!!! I won a midnight funk association muscle t-shirt from him. I wish I still had it. MoJo turned me on to sooo many artists!!!! He played it all...no racial barriers..just great music to dance and groove too. Dtroit and MoJo Forever!!!!!!!! Thank you for sharing this ;D
