The Mountain Nyala is not listed on CITES as endangered. Never has been. It is listed as threatened simply due to the fact that it occupies a very limited habitat range in Ethiopia and that range has been subjected to intense logging and farming.
But it is still a legal game animal in Ethiopia and the trophies are fully importable into the USA. This would not be possible if it was endangered. And, the money generated from hunting is the only thing keeping it from being endangered.
